The United States of America has been at war almost always in the first half of the 21st century. Loads of American soldiers were sent to the Middle East to obey President George W. Bush who wanted war at all costs. Most of the battles took place in Afghanistan. This war has been one of the longest wars throughout history especially for the United States. It started in 2001 after the September 11th terrorist attacks. However, The United Stated not only went to war against Afghanistan but against Iraq as well in 2003. In this term paper I will write a realistic view and analyze the US invasion of Afghanistan and the US invasion of Iraq. Doing a realist view seemed obvious because the United States attacks towards Afghanistan and Iraq are based on a realist view too. The United States' realist view showed in the military movements and they had three main goals to reach: win, be safe and survive as a Nation. Another goal was to create more military bases and involve more soldiers in it. Also, they tried to blackmail other Middle Eastern countries by reducing oil and energy supplies. Realism was definitely helping when people tried to keep policy for a long time. Before every realist leader send his people to war they always think about the consequences and calculate what would happen and what would be the advantages or disadvantages trying to go back to the past and to get some experience.
