During the Holocaust there were many perpetrators but there were also rescuers. These rescuers put their life on the line just to try to help people in the holocaust. One of these rescuers was Irena Sendler, she was a woman who snuck kids out of the ghetto. She also hid people’s names in jars for when they got out of the Holocaust they would know their real names. During the Holocaust time period, Irena Sendler fulfilled her role as a rescuer by hiding people’s names and sneaking kids out the ghetto. The rescuer, Irena Sendler, put her life on the line when she saved 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942-1943.
