In the article, “It’s the Truth: Americans Conflicted About Lying,” sources say that they are unsure as to whether it is okay to lie. The article states, “Rebecca Campbell knew exactly what she was doing when she recently told her 4-year-old son that there were no more cartoons on TV. And she didn’t like it.” (NBC News, 2006) Rebecca did not like lying to her son, but felt that she had to.
