Reincarnation Everyone consciously or subconsciously is afraid of death because we don’t really know what happens after we die. One might wonder if souls are reincarnated how can there be enough souls for the growing population. Three lines of evidence demonstrate reincarnation is real. There have been multiple stories where young children have remembered parts of their past life leading to the idea of reincarnation. Doctors have done multiple studies on patients that have had near death experiences (NEDs) and what they experienced. Many of the patients said they saw a bright tunnel or encountered spirits. Plato said you will never sleep as in you will never be dead for good and, you will always end up coming back to life. …show more content…
There was a fascinating study in Belgium that analyzed 154 people that have NDEs. Interestingly enough “ 64 percent believe that they encountered spirits or people.”( Martin) “The most common sequence, experienced by 22 percent of people, was out-of-body experience, followed by experiencing a tunnel, seeing a bright light, and finally a feeling of peace”( Martin). A different study in 1988 showed that “30% reported moving through a tunnel, had an observation of a celestial landscape, or had a meeting with deceased relatives. About 25% of the patients with an NDE had an an out-of-body experience, had communication with ‘the light’ or observed colors, 13% experienced a life review, and 8% experienced a border”( Roberts). Many people that have had NDEs have experienced seeing other spirits or themselves venturing out of their own body. Reincarnation is generally understood to mean a condition in when you reincarnate your spirit or your soul is removed from your body and moved into a new body possibly years later. Dr. Newton the author of “Destiny of souls” explains that there are multiple steps when you die, to do. Dr. Newton goes on to say that when the patients saw the tunnels it was their spirit traveling out of the body to the “gateway to the spirit world” to wait till they become reincarnated again and reunite with other spirits they may have been close to in another life. “ In this scenario, there would be no reason why the number of people on earth has to remain constant, and several explanations for population growth arise: 1. Life previously expressed in other forms (animals, or insects, say) might now be taking human birth. 2. There could be an influx of energy from other planets, realms, universes – a kind of cosmic migration. Or 3. "Human" consciousness could manifest as a greater number of people than it did before.”(Halliwell). This means that a soul could go into another animal, it doesn’t always have to go to a human being. And same is true for other animals, plants, etc. , when they die their spirit may go to a human. The number of spirits outnumbers the amount of living things so when a new child or thing is created there will always be a spirit to go into it. “Souls don't have a 1:1 ratio from one life to the next. Maybe life is an ever changing mixture where souls are like dough. You die, are mushed back into the mix and made into new people, but it's all one big ball (of energy) and that "dough" can be divided up into variable number of people” (Thom) Twins are a good example of that possibly happening. You could have one spirit split between two people before birth. Twins tend to be quite similar to each other even if they aren't identical twins. There can be many different possibilities of where the spirit has come
