While I do think this could help the create equal opportunity, I feel that many people would get upset that the government is interfering with their personal life. This article talks about starting an educational campaign that focuses on the “success sequence” which is explain in this article to be “first education, then a stable job, then marriage, and then children.” Although this may work out great for most people it may not be the ideal situation for everyone. Everyone should have the right do live their life the way it best suits them. No one should feel bad or forced to live their life in a certain order. I do think parenting classes are a great idea but also I think it would be very offensive to some people to have others telling them how to raise their children. I know I would not feel comfortable with people telling me how to raise my kids. The article mentioned having people such as nurses and counselors doing home visits. I think this would cause a huge issue with privacy. I feel that optional free parenting classes would be appropriate but they should not be mandatory or involve anyone going into anyone else’s
