What had happened in his childhood no human should have to endure, when he was only three years of age when his father, Vasili III Ivanovich passed away on December 4, 1533. Which ultimately established Ivan IV as being next in line to the throne, leader of Russia. The great Ivan IV of course was not suitable to rule anything at only being the rightful age of three, his mother took over as regent duties before Ivan IV would come to power. That would only last a few years before Ivan’s mother passed as well. During his reign as sole appointed ruler of Russia, Ivan IV had trust issues with running his country. As from his childhood he didn’t trust many people if not any which is why he removed the boyars and noble families from control of any form of governing body. These were just the start of his many reforms and strict allocations towards the government. Ivan IV had intimidated and used his cruel powers a tsar against the boyars to solidify his reign as tsar.
