BOOM! A cannon just hit a couple feet next to John Brown. He is 35 years old and is from French descent. He has black hair and is 6’2’’. It is the Second Battle of the Marnge World War I in France 1917. Next to him is his friend Carl Smith age 27 and just arrived from the American troops and he of course is American. He is blond and is 5’8’’. These two brave men are trying to push the Germans off of France and win the war. John is in the war because the Germans bombed his home were his family was. Carl joined in because he signed up for the Selective Service System and was drafted to war. Mark Pearl was a German soldier who was 48 had dark brown hair and was 6’ tall. He was in the war because his friend the Archduke of Austria-Hungary is assassinated. …show more content…
Do not stop!” yelled the Captain. John was firing the machine gun so he had nonstop work. He was getting kind of tired though because having to turn the handle over and over again got him tired.
“Carl! Can you take over I am getting really tired.” “Sure thing here is my gun use it while I shoot.” So John took over the gun and started firing to any German soldier he saw. He thought in his mind “I am going to kill every single German after what they did to my family.” He then started firing nonstop until he ran out of ammunition and reloaded. BOOM! Another cannonball came real close to Mark. He was leading his own little squad of soldiers. He said “Keep firing we will never retreat no matter what!” His men kept firing nonstop and many cannons were killing his men. They would look at him but he said nothing. “Carl Smith watch out” heard Mark. “Was that Carl from college?” When he heard that name he remembered lots of thing from his past. “Why would you ever do that Mark I needed to turn that assignment in!” “It is just a small assignment here have mine I am sorry I ruined …show more content…
So he started shooting at any allied soldier from the other trench. He killed about 100 men in less than one minute. He takes the next shot and he hits John in the stomach. He had gotten out of the trench to pull in a injured soldier. Carl quickly got both the injured soldier and John. John told him “Get revenge on my family. Kill every German you can.” He died. Carl immediately peeks out and shoots every German peeking out of the trench and the ones running towards them. Out of the corner of his eye he sees Mark from college. He gets the same flashback Mark got and remembers how they were friends. He then stands up and waves his hands to him and sees him. Mark sees him and has an internal battle. The battle is if he should kill him or pretend he did not see him? He ducks and thinks for a couple of minutes. He then stands up and starts shooting him. Carl instantly ducks and luckily does not get shot. He thinks “He is not the same Mark I knew. He used to be nicer and not as violent. He then has to kill him because of his options he took. He peeks out and aims for him and shoots at all power with the machine
