Judson University is a Christian University in Chicago. When you look at their culture you should look at the people, the environment and the foundation. Judson’s business dynamic relating to a Christian worldview reminds me of King Solomon. King Solomon was granted wisdom from God because he desired wisdom over fame and fortune. This proves as a great example of good leadership (Ecoggins 2015). Solomon wanted wisdom to effectively lead the people of Israel. “God blessed the young king for asking for wisdom and not fortune and fame and gave him all three” (1 Kings 3). Far too often leaders care more about what actions they make and how it will affect their appearance or status, rather than what actions they make to help people. When you work at Judson you don’t make as much money as you could be working for other jobs, but the employees sacrifice their fame and fortune like King Solomon to help other people. That is the same when working with leadership and co-workers at Judson you don’t see people working for themselves to get attention or credit. Everyone is welcoming and helpful. They sacrifice their time to make sure you feel comfortable and welcome. You can see King Solomon in Judson’s leadership, Dr.Crume was given an opportunity to work as president at a state school with better benefits, and fame in the position, be he chose to work at an organization that makes sacrifices for the greater good. Christian values are not assumed at Judson they are visible and used through their values, mission, chapel, and they employee
