The first organization that I researched is called Just Food it understands food justice by supporting New York City neighborhoods to provide more healthy food options in their area, crop growing farming, and maintainable healthy education especially in the low-income communities. Just Food brings the ecological benefits to sustainable agriculture engagements to bring attentiveness to the process of food producing and consumption. The theoretical investigation of food justice theory brings environmental justice and sustainable agriculture movement through a concept of providing food access to people. The organization Just Food group has addressed so many different kinds of benefits the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), which allows citizens a straight access to fresh produce, by local farmers. Just Food’s Urban and Market it trains and connects NYC community gardeners to grow sell and give foods in their local districts. It also provides a Food Education program that has workshops to teach the community about the nutrition of foods. Lastly, Just Food’s has a Farm-to-Pantry program that helps food pantries and other food programs provide fresh, healthy and locally grown food to families in need.
