Kill you last, a book nominated for the Best Young Adult award written by Todd Strasser, is a mysterious book full of tension and suspense. It will leave you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next!

The book is set in a town called Soundview and is about a teen girl called Shelby Sloan. She is rich, pretty and popular. Her father is a well-known photographer and modelling agency director while her mother is a quiet and laid-back housewife that has kept to herself ever since the death of her 4-month-old son who died of Pneumonia. Her best friend is Roman. She a bookworm that loves mysteries and t.v. shows about crime. My favourite character is Shelby; she is a brave character that cares for others. She also isn’t afraid of the truth and will find it no matter what gets in her way. …show more content…
The only thing that the police have is that Shelby’s father photographed them which made him a suspect. This made her and her family the centre of attention in their town and it caused her perfect life to start falling apart. Shelby battles the media and rude classmates at school, she starts receives threatening emails and must find the truth before more people go missing. When everyone close to her starts to begin to believe her father had something to with the disappearances, she feels as if she needs to know the truth so she goes on her own investigation with the help of her best friend Roman and a journalist to discover the truth behind the disappearances. Shelby needs to find out who the criminal is to clear her father’s name and prove his innocence, but ends up revealing things about her family that she never could believe were
