Kim Kardashian is a walking and talking representation of the universal obsession with body image, celebrities, and popular culture. Other images included in this promotion are pictures of Kim Kardashian showing off her large backside (as seen in the first image) or standing up straight allowing for her large perky breasts to defy gravity really. Of course, the point of this is to get you to open that magazine and perhaps view some more pictures of Kim Kardashian. The magazine utilizes Kim Kardashians butt numerous times, and as we all know, the female body usually sells, it’s not the first time advertisers use the female body as a prop to sell or promote their services or products. In this case, I have to be guessing that they were trying to get men to read their magazine, because, I don’t see how any female would be intrigued to see this. They used her semi naked body in the first photo, and honestly, the only thing you could stare at is her butt and your eyes will finally travel up her body and you might notice that unusually small waist. Thus started the aspirations for big butts. There is no doubt that Kim Kardashian is a body image icon, she is one of the people who really got our society out of the age of obsessing over small and thin models and into embracing curvaceous body types, 3 years in and people are still getting butt injections and doing squats at the gym.
