According to the legends, Camelot was a grand castle that had been built in Great Britain (Hamilton). This castle was known to be the seat of the legendary King Aruthur’s court, who was believed to have ruled over the land with his Queen and his Knights of the Round Table. The round table, which accommodated approximately 150 Knights, was placed at the heart of the castle's great hall. Lancelot, a knight in King Arthur's court, was also Lady Guinevere's lover, and Arthur’s Wife (Mark and Sherman). The first time Lancelot met Lady Guinevere was when she was on her way to meet King Arthur.
