The dynamics of racism today are divided into four categories, which are racism against majority v. minority, minority v. majority, minorities v. minorities, and the last one intra racism (Lee Lecture, 02/06/17). Juana Martinez is one of the interviewees who experienced racism of minority v. minority. Juana Martinez told me that one time an African American woman came to her house and started screaming and kicking her door, telling her that she was going to call I.C.E. so they could take her back to her country. Adriana Nigo also encounter intra racism, which is discrimination against a person or a group of the same race. Adriana Nigo said that when she came to this country she worked for a cleaner company and the owner was a Latina woman. This building was located in Beverley Hills and when they had to go to lunch they were not allowed to stay inside the building so they had to go eat outside in the sidewalk. He told me that as they were eating outside a white lady passed by and told them if they knew where they were and that they couldn’t be eating outside to go back to their country. Enrique said that he felt humiliated and discriminated because he was not doing anything wrong. He wasn’t allowed to eat inside so he followed the rules and for following the rules a white woman felt that they were invading her city and at the same time they were making the city look bad. The women felt invaded in her city, but what she did not realize was that she was making others feel less. She could have said to move or go to a
