Role of lead professional nurse

Lead Professional Nurse is the head nurse who is in charge of the entire team. They are focused on supervising the other team members. The lead nurse would be the one selecting the team members to dispatch to the scene of accident.

Prior to their arrival on the accident scene, the lead nurse must follow certain set of principles of values and behaviours as a professional. The lead nurse must should be dedicated and compassionate of caring people because caring for someone other than somebody she knows would be very tough unless she have compassion in her to feel other’s pain and suffering.The lead nurse must aspire to have a high standard of excellence in terms of providing high quality care focused on patient’s best interest. They are studying to pursue a career in the respective field. As a professional, they are qualified and practicing on their jobs and are automonous to the extent to provide care and treatment without any supervisions. Whilst non professional are not qualified entirely just yet and do not have a freedom to practice and carry out roles and responsibilites of jobs on their own unless they are supervised by mentors. The non professionals would always require to work under the direct supervision of mentors and are expected to recognise the limitations of their own capabilites.
