-In this tutorial the learner mainly observes a sample guide on what the software can do. The user is expected to imitate and generate a similar model to the training example. Using the Observational theory the tutorial expects the learner to mimic tasks and by doing so he or she will be able to grasp the concept of each tool, so that in the future the learner will know when and how to use it. The " Getting Started with Project 2010" tutorial uses all of the process suggested by the Observational theory: attention, retention, production and motivation. At first the learner listens and watches and example project, then there is a practice step where the user utilizes the learned instruction to complete a project. The final step is a self test where the learner can gauge how much information was retained. In the tutorial the learner also is exposed to some Constructivist principles, the guide makes connections between ideas and tasks that allow the learner to understand more deeply the uses of some tools. Although it is mostly by example there is also a process by which the tutorial expects the learner to predict and use these concepts correctly.
