When I first approached the Legion of Honor Museum, it made me speechless at how beautiful it is. The staircase leading up to the museum entrance was amazing, surrounded by beautiful grass and trees. It's as if the area surrounding the museum is the canvas of a painting or sculpture. While the Legion of Honor Museum is like a butterfly in a cocoon. Furthermore, the big pond in front of the entrance is beautiful, with flowers and bushes in front. The style of the building and the engraving remind me of neoclassical art. Such things as the big pillars holding the museum at the entrance remind me of Rome. As well as the engravings of angels and people on the walls. When I entered the building, it was peaceful and blissful for me. It was as if …show more content…
The coloring and shadowing that Peter Paul Ruben’s has shown beautifully in this painting is incredible. The way Jesus looks at the Pharisees with a sense of enlightenment is paired with the glowing aura surrounding his head, as if it's a crown symbolizing his aura. The Pharisees are unique in design as well. Such as one appearing in a robe made of silk and animal fur. To think that there are so many artworks from so many talented artists in one spot is unbelievable to think about. It was as if I were there watching these artworks being made. Furthermore, the atmosphere of the museum was breathtaking, with the benches and different galleries you could visit. You can visit the Legion of Honor and find a new art piece or a new meaning for an art piece. To think that such a place existed in San Francisco is interesting. Since everybody I know that I talked about had no idea San Francisco had a museum like the Legion of Honor and only knew about the Golden Gate Bridge. I would say that my only regret about visiting the Legion of Honor would have been not bringing more money so that I could buy gifts from the store. Such as cups or bags, especially with Mother’s Day coming up, it could be a great gift. Also, I wish I had checked the cafe to see what options they had. Since walking around had made me quite lightheaded, I got food afterwards. Overall, it was an amazing experience and something I would suggest everyone check out if they are in San Francisco or plan to visit San
