“Only the best is good enough.-Ole Kirk Christiansen”(Encyclopedia.com). Indeed, the LEGO group tries their best to produce the best toy they can make—LEGO. In order to understand more about the LEGO toy, this essay will first talk about the facts of the origin and the prototype of it, then how does the very first LEGO looks like and works. In addition, this paper will also mention the similarity and difference between the first LEGO and the LEGO that we play nowadays. It is certain that this piece of work would discuss how LEGO influences the history and our life and how it light on millions and millions people's creativity. Eventually, it will point out all the main points and make an conclusion.

In 1932 a Danish person named Ole Kirk Christiansen created a toy that was made by wood. It was the very first LEGO toy, and was created in Billund, Denmark (Building of a Danish Legend).The first LEGO toy is not actually bricks. They are only wooden toys. At that time there were LEGO toys such as wooden ducks or Teddy Bill’s truck which is a wooden small truck with a little toy bear sitting in it. Nonetheless, they all stop producing in the 1960s(Brickipedia). In 1949, the LEGO Group thought of a new idea about producing plastic bricks called Automatic Binding Bricks. They are extremely similar to the LEGO toys in nowadays, yet not only their shape but also also their usage.

The Automatic Binding Bricks look just like plastic bricks, they are 2x2 or 2x4 bricks with little circles on the top which make it possible to make one brick connect to another one. Early LEGO have only got five colors, red, blue, yellow, green, and white.
