The life expectancy of Indigenous males and females are approximately 10 years lower compared to non-Indigenous Australians. The life expectancy gap has narrowed by 0.8 years for males and 0.1 years for females between 2010-2012. There is a significant progress in the effort of closing the gap, however, a more effort should be done in order to have a better results in closing the gap.
