A great leader should have a kind heart and should be considerate of others, leading by example, and with encouragement. Ralph possess all of these qualities, and therefore he has potential to be an excellent leader. Jack on the other hand is mean spirited, narcissistic, and demeaning. He thrives on his own ego, often boosting it on the broken spirit of others.
Jack is a bully and he is exceptionally mean to piggy, because of this many of the other islanders are afraid of him . Jack has does many things to hurt the boys, and is mean to Piggy due to the fact he is envious of his intelligence.
