In the book The Prince by Machiavelli, the author discusses several qualities that a prince should have, and how a prince should act. These qualities are ones that many people should have, and are not necessarily restricted to princes only. A prince should strive to reach these qualities, and at the very least appear to have them. Even if one merely seems to have these qualities, he will most likely find that there are very clear upsides to each one of them.
