The patient had fallen and hurt his leg. This is an emergency situation and the doctor aided him to the best of his abilities given being outdoors. Could the patient have suffered more injuries by not being helped, quite possible.

Did the doctor know before hand if this was a possible complication of the medication? If he did then he failed to inform the patient. Did the pharmacutical company know? If they did not they can be sued for ot properly testing the drug.
