The Global Partnership of Education states that education does the following: reduces poverty, increases income, boosts economic growth, and promotes gender and racial equality. College is more than classes and parties. It is a growing experience. It matures students, teaches them how to manage their funds, and it always them to strengthen social skills. If the talent that these athletes were gifted with is worth free education, then the athletes should be directed towards a degree. A degree benefits the athlete after their basketball career is over.
