The Unwarranted Destiny of Marie Antoinette “[Marie] you lead a dissipated life, I hope I shall not live to see the disaster that is likely to ensure” ( Marie’s mother, 1775.) Marie Antoinette’s mother always thought that her daughter was honest and lovable, however she was able to foresee the inevitably difficult life that her daughter was headed towards. As the wife of the Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette started to revive the French traditions to earn the respect of the French when they were married in 1770. Since Marie Antoinette was born an Austrian, she was met by the French people with lukewarm reception. Marie Antoinette was doomed from the beginning starting with where she was born, to whom she was married, and the time period with all the unstable political events happening; however Marie Antoinette, being blamed for all of France’s problems, still had an ambitious attitude and stuck around during all the turmoil to help out the French people.
