To begin with, many people believe that faith leads to collective action towards world peace. A really good example of this is Martin Luther King Jr. As a Christian, Martin Luther King Jr. understood the Protestant’s faith very well. His name Martin Luther means bravery, courage, and Christianity and he tried to abide the meaning of his name (Bennett). He followed God’s words, loved his neighbors and really spoke for America. As a leader, he took faith into politics, and constantly asked himself what he can do for others to become a better leader. Anton Schmid was an Austrian conscript to the Wehrmacht. Part of his job was to find Jews and murder during Holocaust. Before he was hung by his own side, Nazis, he wrote to his wife. The letter was about how one day when he saw Nazis beating children up and hitting babies' heads out on stones. He told himself he is done with this business and cannot take this anymore. As a devout Catholic, he was against starving people intentionally, burning down whole towns, and murdering people for no reason. Thus, he decided to help hundreds of Jews to escape, including men, women, and even children. He not only helped with hiding them but also with providing false Identification documents for them so they could escape successfully.
