The ancient city of Megiddo has been famous around the world especially in archaeology. The name is derived from the Greek name Armageddon highlights its religious background and significance. It is located at the western side of the Jezreel Valley, south of Nazareth and north of Samaria. The ancient site has been called “one of the most important archeological sites of Israel” (Negev, 1972, pg. 327). The vases that were found were made in the form of a krater or a vase with a large body and mouth mainly used for mixing water and wine. Other embellishments that were uncovered were birds such as swallows, eagles, hawks, and partridges and “perhaps derived from Levantine examples” (Mountjoy, 2008,pg.
