Imagine one of your family members has been diagnosed with mental illness and you have no idea on how to take care of them or how to communicate with them. Many people may wonder, ´´what is mental illness? How do people with mental illness work and function in everyday society?´´. They might also wonder what kind of jobs do they have, how do they communicate. This people also wander about what kind of treatments do they take and what is there social life. Mental illness ,is a brain disorder that seriously affects a person and his or her relationship with others. Many of those people that are really interested in knowing the causes of mental illness, they do research, read articles, and they even ask doctors so they could have a better understanding about this cause, but they might not have a really good answer because the exact cause of mental illness is not known. Some of the things they can lead mental illness are a combination of biological, psychological, and environmental factors. Some environmental factors the contribute with mental illness are death, divorce, a dysfunctional family life, feelings of inadequacy, low self-esteem,anxiety, anger, loneliness, changing jobs, schools, social or cultural expectations, and abused by people or parents. According to ´´causes of mental illness´´webMD, Some of the treatments for mental illness are medication, psychotherapy, group therapy, day treatment or partial hospital treatments, specific therapies such as cognitive behavior therapy, behavior modification, alternative therapies, such as water therapy, massage and biofeedback, creative therapies such as art, music, or play therapy, hypnotherapy, electroconvulsive therapy, vagus nerve stimulation and transcranial magnetic stimulation is a new therapy. These treatments can help a person with mental illness in the same way , they could help a person who has a cold, but many of them refuse to go see a doctor because they don't like pressure from parents, schools or if other people pressure them it’s more likely the they would not look for help. When a mental illness visit a doctor the appointment is confidential the doctor would not say anything, it doesn't matter how much does the family wants to know about what is going on in there lives, they would never find out, because of this reason some people with mental illness feel more comfortable when they look for help. Some places for treatment are doctors office,clinic or mental health center. Sometimes people decide to go for a whole day so they could get a treatment and at night they get to go home, but taking care of a mental illness is not
