The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded on April 13, 1870, and is located in the City of New York. The museum is bombarded with facts about the world that can be seen from many different perspectives. The key purpose, I believe, of the metropolitan museum is to enable one to see art through a different lens which will constitute to changing your perspective and the way you feel about art. The museum is full of knowledge that incorporates two major department that also branches of into more spectcific categories. The two major department are curatorial departments and conservation and science research department.
My immediate impression of the museum was: “Wow this is a huge place” I am pretty sure I am not the only one that got that first impression

This was not because of how the artifacts were laid out, but it was because I was so excited I just kept skipping from one curatorial department to another without paying close attention. After realizing that I was not learning anything, I went back to the starting point again, and begin myself tour once more. This time I paid close attention and details to the writings and the purpose and history of what I was looking at. It was then everything became clear I and saw the information the exhibit was conveying. What was interesting was the way the information was presenting, for example the Assyria to Iberia, when I saw this item questions suddenly appeared in my head without even reading the information that was presented, but as soon as I began to read the information my questions were all answered. This happened numerous amounts of time, which germinated the opinion “everything flowed logically”. I thought so because the way everything is presented it anticipates questions and answers them within the information that provided for each item. This, I believe enables a viewer to have a clear understanding about what is
