The Mexican Independence was an partial-assault on dependency, which is reflected through the social structure.
A. Creoles leaders (Hidalgo and Morelos) began an assault on the Peninsularie power with the aid of the lower class of Mexican society; however, among themselves they were divided
B. Women’s role within the household changed from being one as insurgents within the tenant community to being head’s of household’s.

The Creoles take over power after the independence movement ends and do not implement want Hidalgo or Morelos originally set out to do. This government does not benefit the lower-class and just replaces the peninsularies with the creoles.
