Several commercials portray people advocating for the public to change their habits on smoking. For instance, there are commercials showing the effect of tobacco in people's lives, such as lung cancer and laryngectomy. In Interpersonal, if there is a member in your family suffering from alcohol or drug addiction, this can cause a person to change their mind in the future to be involved in drugs or alcohol. Peer pressure is also another influence; being that your friends are actively smoking and drinking, it can lead the person to drink or smoke too. The hardest part of an addiction is withdrawal. A person stops using the substance and causes dangerous symptoms in the body, which leads them to start using again.
