Although the healthcare has a lot to offer within the community I feel shelter or a drug and alcohol center would benefit the community because many of communities do suffer with drug issues. | d. Environmental conditions related to health | The roads within the community are in terrible conditions. There are numerous amounts of pot holes and the all the roads need repaired. The streets are heavily traveled and can be hazardous due to the many curves and hills. The streets do have drainage systems which allow for the water to not lay on the road. The railroad crossings have no barriers. The crossings do have a warning sign within a few feet of the actual crossing along the street. Also, the parking lots are not well lighted. If they do have a street light they are very scant.The community has many of recreational areas, one being a YMCA. Many of children are seen playing within these areas but some have been destroyed by graffiti, these playgrounds are usually abandoned. All the healthcare locations have handicapped accessibility. The community has many of local or family owned restaurants, so have handicapped accessibility but not all, at least half are handicap friendly. There are no food vendors along the street but many of people will be seen sitting outside at the restaurants enjoying their meals.
