My Military Journey: I made many mistakes during my time in the Navy. The biggest of which I fear, may return to haunt me. I also learned countless lessons not only from my mistakes, but from ones that I had not made. I have retained these lessons and wish to pass on my experience to anyone who is willing to determine for themselves. It all starts on a hot August day. August 1, 2020, I was walking around a recruitment strip talking to recruiters. The Marines were a little too hardcore. The Army does not guarantee I get the job I was gunning for. The Air Force said it was too hefty. The Navy, however, can guarantee the job I want and was not complaining about my weight. I weighed about

But that process tends to take a while, so I had to bug my recruiter to get me back in so I could continue my swear in process. May 3, 2021, I received my letter, and the doctor cleared me. Then came the swearing in process. Rule number 1 in D.E.P. The delayed entry program is Cardio yet again. I ran 1.5 miles and then moved to two miles and then to 5k’s. Reclassified at the end of May 2022. I retook CCNA 1 and passed with excellence. Upon entry to CCNA 2, I started having problems with my back and let my peers influence me again to party which ultimately led to my failing out of ITS “A” school. On July 5, 2022, I woke up and could not get out of bed due to agonizing pain in my back. I made my way up to the Medical Center to have them figure out what was going on. They sent me for an MRI which at the time, I was told yielded no results. I asked to see the results, and they told me no. Due to my back and failing out of my “A” school, Big Navy decided to separate me. I was left dejected, shattered, and hopeless. My biggest dream was extinguished right before my eyes, and I could not do anything about it. It was not until January of 2023 that I finally got my records and found that I had herniated a disc in my lumbar. That, yet again, shattered another dream I had of being a heavy equipment
