Initially, I did not think I could engage in the informal economy in my daily life. However, upon seeing the example of buying friends food in exchange for their help, I realized that this situation frequently applies to me. Before taking this course, I thought this was merely an action to avoid freeriding others' work or assistance. Now, I understand it is also a common form of informal economy. Additionally, I had the opportunity to learn more about endogamy and exogamy. While I was familiar with polygyny and polyandry, I had no idea that endogamy and exogamy also existed. In the past, I perceived people's choices to marry within or outside their region as merely personal preferences. However, through the reading materials, I have recognized the importance and implications of endogamy and exogamy, including their advantages and disadvantages and how they impact different cultures. Moreover, it was fascinating to understand the reasons behind the variety of skin colors in the world. People typically classify skin colors into four categories: white, yellow, brown, and black.
