Millennial. Too often, the word has been used to label a group of individuals as lazy, selfish, and uncaring. The common notion is wrong because millennials are much more than the simplistic characterizations. They are a group of unique individuals that strive to create positive change within their environment. To be a servant leader means being comfortable with the uncomfortable, and serving the people that one leads. It is important to realize that our nation always need leaders that capable to advocating for change of their supports behalf. More importantly, behind every great leader, there is a group of hard-working individuals working to achieve their goals. One of the best characteristics of a millennial servant leader is that they know what is necessary to be successful in their endeavors. In order to be a great leader on Capitol Hill, one must manage a large group of being, getting them to buy into their vision to achieve their goals. There are numerous challenges that a leader has to overcome as they try to improve their lives of others. With that being said, there role is to outline a specific goal that they can achieve. A leader gets others involved in the decision-making process, although, they have the confidence necessary to make the best possible choice for others. Furthermore, being a millennial servant leader means not being afraid to do tough tasks or interact with other individuals regardless of their background such as race, religion or gender.
