An individual’s meaning in life differs depending on that person’s contribution to society. Everyone’s moral compass is also different with respect to an individual’s religion, ethnicity, and overall views on the world. Personally, I believe there is a meaning to everyone’s life with respect to his or her own moral compass. People view the world differently and find a different meaning throughout certain chapters of their lives. There is a meaning found today. An individual begins to notice their meaning in life throughout certain hardships that are faced. For example, many people believe that their meaning is to wake up every morning and be a better version of themselves than they were yesterday. For others, they believe their meaning is to help other individuals not make mistakes that can potentially affect their lives forever. My point is, that not everyone has the same meaning in life. Although people tend to examine situations differently, a moral compass brings people together. In the United States, individuals riot to be equal to one another. It is often forgotten that we as a society all share at least one thing in common. Regardless of how diverse we are or try to be from our peers, we often eliminate the idea of how similar we are from one another. A moral compass can bring people closer and help those that are suffering from trying to find their meaning in life. For example, a common moral can be as simple as believing an individual should marry within the same ethical group, or agreeing that people should start work at the age of 16 years old.
