As a writer I have many strengths and weakness, I feel I do very well at conveying my ideas and topics and staying on task, and I do know that my biggest weakness is grammar and punctuation. I have tried to combat this by reading over my work both in my head and out loud, because for me reading out loud allows me to see the awkward sentences and where commas are necessary, I have also found a website online that I put my writing into and it helps find where commas are and that sentence structure is mixed to allow my style and fluency to show through. I felt that this piece was strong in my ability to use word choice and language. To make this piece final portfolio quality I fixed the grammar and added commas and periods because I had run on sentences. I also added better word choice by instead of saving black and white I changes it to ebony and ivory, and instead of saying the pale brown box I changed it to aged burnt umber dusty …show more content…
I chose this piece because I really enjoyed writing it and I have watched both "Another Cinderella Story" movies at least five times and this piece allowed me to put my own spin on an old fairytale. This project allowed me to convey my usage of tone, descriptive writing, and conclusion. To revise it enough to be final portfolio quality I added in detail because it was not 1 page, I also added in detail about what the dress looked like before and after. In my first draft I felt that I did not wrap it up clearly and that it was confusing of how everything ended and it was really abrupt so I added in detail to try and tell the
