Yet, NCLB isn’t effective because they are other factors that affect the performance of the students such as social problems, poverty and minorities. In addition, they leave students in a limbo meaning that students should only focus on the classes that are being tested and the other subjects do not matter. I believe that standardized test only gives mixed result for the reason that no all the student are equal in the way of learning. Another flaw of NCLB is “deprofessionalization of teachers” (Schul, 1). In other words, Schul believes that teachers are not being used to their full potential as educators because their method of teaching are inefficient and don’t help to get a good score in the test.Therefore, their school is penalized.
