The NFL is one of the biggest organizations throughout America today. From little league flag football, high school, and professional, Football is America’s new most popular sport. More people tune into Sunday and Monday night football than any other sport in the world. All to watch the world’s best athletes go head to head in a sport that is action packed and fun to watch this is the NFL. On November 6th, 1869 the first ever collegiate football game was played Rutgers University vs. Princeton. Ever since this day football has only gotten bigger. It wasn’t until 7 years later in 1876 that the first ever rules were written about football at the Massasoit convention by Walter Camp. Who would later become known as the father of American football. Many cities began having football clubs all along the east coast and it wasn’t until 1892 that the first player ever got paid to play in a game of football. Allegheny Athletic Association (AAA) vs. the Pittsburgh Athletic Club (PAC).
