When I was little I wanted to be a professional gymnast and go to the Olympics. Now that I am older and have thought about it, I want to do something in the medical field. My future is just making sense, and I am starting to figure out my personality and interests. I like to be in the medical field because I like to help and the body interests me.

About me :

Before I took the surveys, I had hoped that my personality was socialist because to be a good doctor/nurse you have to want to be comfortable talking with your patients. When I took my survey I was happy because my top 3 were Social, Enterprise, and Investigative. The Holland Codes helped me find my interest in different jobs. A NICU nurse involves a nurse who cares for infants with various medical and surgical conditions. There are 4 levels of a NICU nurse, level 1 is a newborn nursery, level 2 is a special care nursery, Level 3 is a Neonatal intensive care unit, and level 4 is a regional NICU. A day in the life of a NICU nurse involves inserting and managing intravenous lines, watching tube feedings, assisting with intubation, blood draws, and conducting tests or screenings.

The salary range for a NICU nurse is between $118,654 to $140,428 per year in NC. The growth rate is expected to grow 45% from 2019 to 2029. This job is important because it saves lives and gives those babies a chance at life. There will likely be better technology and equipment in the future to help keep more babies
