Elie Wiesel, a young boy, came from a family that was connected until, the Nazi came through. During his adventure, he faced some depressing but important people that was broken hearted, tortured, and even killed. At the beginning of Elie’s journey, he spend his childhood in a little town in Transylvania named “The Jews of Sighet.” In Transylvania, Elie, his father, his mother, and his sister Tzipora would listen to the “ London radio” that gave them the daily bombardment of Germany; Stalingrad- until 1943. In 1943, The Germans’ came to the ghetto, “We were no longer allowed to go into restaurants of cafes, to travel on the railway, to attend the synagogue, to go out into the street after six o’ clock,” the father announced. The Hungarian police said “ Don’t worry. If you’re in any danger, I’ll warn you.” However, about time people in the town could relax…..POOF! the German police came into the ghetto and emptyed everybody out of there homes. Everywhere they looked they had seen flames, then they arrived at Birkenau,( the reception center for Auschwitz). Once they got out of the wagon, the SS men was separating the men by their age. One prisoner came to Elie and said, “ Here, kid, how old are you?” Then Elie said,” I’m not quite fifteen yet.” The prisoner said, “No. Eighteen”. Then Elie said, “But I’m not Fifteen.” Then with the prisoner’s tense and weary voice he said, “ Fool. Listen to what I say.” Then the prisoner asked the same question to Eile’s father which replied, “ Fifty”. Somehow the other grew more furious than ever and said, “No, not fifty. Forty.” Then out of nowhere, he disappeared into the
