The Bielski brothers fought and risked their lives by trying to keep others safe. When they we moving spots in the forest you had the ones that were weak or one that couldn’t attack be walking and most of the men surrounding them shooting whoever comes to keep the others safe. In the movie Tuvia attacks Bernicki in his house because he shot his parents and were coming for the brothers. He held him at gun point not risking anymore of his life of Bernicki shooting him and his brothers. Elie Wiesel's courage to survive was all within him. He doesn't show it in this setting gin helping others but just to keep himself alive. He does although risk his little portions of food to keep is dad alive who is already dying. Between the movie Defiance and the book Night, there were both similarities and differences between the two. Even though the biggest difference is where they each take place and the setting, they are both involved in the Holocaust. The Bielski brothers were a form of hero's by helping others before themselves, but on the other hand Elie Wiesel was kind of his own person and did things that kept im and his father
