Evolution of Nordstrom since beginning
It was John W. Nordstrom who travelled from his country Sweden in 1887 and tried to make it to New York where he was in lookout for a job. He was broke and looked around for a proper job to aid him. Nordstrom did not know how to speak English initially when he came from his country Sweden.
John had to work hard labor for the first few years when he was living in US. He then saw a headline in 1897 about jobs in gold mines in Alaska. He travelled there and made a solution to his misery as he wasn’t getting a good job at the time when he was stuck in US.
