I had done a calculation, and my grade for this quarter comes out to be an 81.0. When I played with my calculator more, I realized that if I were to get 8 points back, my quarter average would be an 82.5. These eight points are small when compared to the 416 points that we could have possibly obtained. By looking at each lab, test, and web assign, listed in genesis, I tried to think of ways where these 8 points could be gained back. I tried to think back to each one, and came to the conclusion that each assignment was not negotiable to the point where I would gain back those 8 points.
With this, I was wondering if there was an extra credit assignment that I could do, and hand to you on Monday, to regain these 8 points. If you don't want to offer this to only one student, that is understood. However if there was an exception made, I would take that opportunity.
If the extra credit opportunity is unavailable, I had another idea that would reward everyone in the class. A participation grade, where everyone in the class is given some …show more content…
Quarter two is the hardest quarter when it comes to managing time, therefore historically my grades always suffer this quarter. In the morning I leave at 6:30 AM, and I return home at 6:30 PM every week day. In quarter two, there were over 10 days (out of the 45 day marking period) when I could not go home, in order for me to go to the high school swim meet starting at 7. I find myself working past 1:00 AM often and at that point, and even later when I have a swim meet. When I am working on all of these assignments late at night, the quality of my work isn't the greatest. Considering work in other classes, family obligations, being on two swim teams, and working, there is a limited amount of time where I can apply myself in an AP Physics
