Thank you for your patience in my response. After reviewing the information that you provided, it appears that you might have a network traffic management program running on your network that is causing a conflict when attempting to access the server using Port 27000 and Port 64944. Without directly viewing your log files, it sounds like there is a conflict when attempting to connect FlexNet’s lmadmin on port 27000 and our “freeflyr” Vendor Daemon on port 64944. Were you able to confirm this by configuring the license server to use a different port and then connecting to the server in a shorter duration? If not, we’d be happy to continue working through this issue to find a resolution. However, if you were able to connect in a shorter duration then I would suggest that you configure your server and license to use the open ports for all future connections. …show more content…
The first line of the FreeFlyer license is for the FlexNet lmadmin configuration (server IP address/Host ID and the server Composite ID) and the second line is for specifying the Vendor Daemon (i.e. freeflyr). Both of these lines allow the option for designating ports for the remote computer to access FlexNet and the Vendor Daemon on the server. If there are no ports designated in the license file, then FlexNet will assign the default port for the license lmadmin to 27000 and a random port for the vendor daemon. If you have identified or designated an open port, as you might have with 27001, you can replace the red # with the open port number, as shown below, and import it into FlexNet overwriting the previous license file saved. As a note, you do not have to designate a port for the Vendor Daemon and should only need to designate the port on the first line for your use
