Details Concerning the Solution – Technology and People One major area of focus is customer retention and complaint resolution with the use of online surveys. Currently, our customers have to access and provide feedback on a separate website; while this has been a semi-successful avenue of resolution, it has proven ineffective in notifying store management or staff of particular store issues or complaints. Since our current mobile application is already assigned to a particular store location, issues and complaints from online surveys will be routed to management immediately. Existing high-speed bandwidth of 3G networks and 4G networks used for cellular phones will allow our customers to receive and transfer information directly to our servers. Our company uses digital packet -switch transmission, “which makes much more efficient use of the communication capacity of a network (Laudon 254). This type of transmission allows us to separate and break down large files of data and transmit it through various communication channels; this helps reduce the likelihood of our website and application being overloaded (Laudon 255). Our Information Technology (IT) team has confirmed that the data collected from our upgraded mobile application will be stored in our current data warehouse; our budget includes funds for additional data storage, if the need arises. Managers and appropriate staff will have access to our current data marts; this will allow managers to pull specific information regarding customer orders and customer complaints or issues (Laudon 229). Each manager will be able to access sales figures, identify inventory needs and address customer complaints related to their specific store. The upgrade to our current mobile application will be completed internally as our IT Department is already familiar with the coding needed to implement any program or software changes.
