A professional organization for nursing is the american nursing association ( ANA for short). The ANA is the only full service professional organization representing the nation's 3.1 million registered nurses. The ANA advances the nursing profession by promoting rights in the workplace, showing a positive and realistic view of nursing , fostering high standards of nursing practice and much more. Their mission statement is
: “Nurses advancing our profession to improve health for all”.
Four universities that offer a degree in nursing across america is UNLV,
University of Wisconsin ( midwest), John Hopkins University ( east ), and University of
North Carolina ( south ) . John Hopkins University is the number one nursing school in
America and the University of Wisconsin along with the University of North Carolina is in the top 50.
Six classes that are common in registered nursing are Biochemistry, Physics,
Statistics, Social Science, Public health nursing and Human Anatomy and Physiology.
All of these classes are required in order to achieve your BSN ( Bachelors Science in
Nursing ). However most of these classes are also required if you are trying to get your associates degree.
There are many different requirements for becoming an RN ( Registered Nurse ) depending on your state and where you live. However the most common requirements for a BSN for an RN are taking Community health, Leadership in nursing , Healthcare ,
Management , Nursing research, Health assessment , Professional issues in nursing courses. Also after you finish completing those courses and receiving your BSN you then have to become licensed by taking certain classes, test or procedures depending on your state to start working full time.
The are many requirements you must complete before you can be a certified RN.
One of those requirements are you must be a graduate of any state approved nursing program . In some cases eligibility for graduation and verification of completion can also be accepted . You also must be an NCLEX examination passer. The NCLEX stands for
National Council Licensure Examination. The NCLEX is an examination for the licensing of nursing. They are required to receive professional licensure in the field of nursing. The NCLEX is designed to be one of the final handle in the nursing career. The
