Rising ocean acidification will make more species go extinct because it is hard for some ocean animals to adapt to the ocean acidification levels. In addition some ocean animals will not be able to adapt at all which will cause some species to go extinct. Some of the sea creatures that are going to have trouble with adapting are shelled creatures like mussels, oysters and sea urchins. The rising levels of acidification are dissolving the shells of these creatures and making it very hard to grow their shells which protect their bodies. This is also a problem because some shelled species could be a keystone species.
