January 27, 1859 Potsdam, Germany, Princess Victoria of England suffered birth complications while in labor which forced doctors to use forceps. The forceps caused the baby’s left arm to be malformed and useless. This baby was destined to be Germany’s most unruly Emperor and politician, Kaiser Wilhelm II. Son of Prussian Prince, Frederick Wilhelm and English Princess, Victoria, Kaiser was the oldest of children and was second in line to rule the Prussian Empire.

He felt as if he never fit in anywhere until his service to the army where he feels the need to embrace his disablement. Kaiser felt power and strength of the German military where he dedicated himself to militarism and improving Germany’s navy. After the death of Kaiser’s father in 1888, Kaiser was crowned Emperor of Germany on June 15, 1888 at age 29. One of the first changes he decided to get rid of Otto Von Bismarck. Otto Von Bismarck used an alliance system to keep the peace between Germany and other countries. Germany made an alliance with Britain, France and Russia making sure to be in a friendship with three countries. With the loss of Bismarck, Kaiser began upsetting the peace between the three countries. Kaiser’s plan was to build a navy stronger than Britain’s that no one could compare while losing his ally and turning them into an enemy. Eventually Kaiser’s actions resulted in Germany becoming a minority with Austria-Hungary. Kaiser was in a damaged political position, he meddle in German foreign policies to fit his emotions resulting in inconsistency of German relations with other nations.
