Some think that B.E.A.H.S. need to do more about bullying. Others think that there's nothing that can be done for this school. B.E.A.H.S. can be doing more to prevent bullying among students, by training their staff on what their role is, and not to turn down students for lack of evidence.
By Minnesota state law, every school in the state of Minnesota Is acquired to have a bullying policy that meets state requirements, and although B.E.A.H.S. does meet the standards, it’s not enough. Instead of the school board just teaching the students to understand the policy and their role in it, they should be taught, themselves as well, including office staff, teachers, paraprofessionals, librarians, the school officer, even the lunch ladies and janitors. B.E.A.H.S. faculty should be taught how to identify bullying, whether it be old or recently developed techniques, verbal or rude facial expressions. They should have a meeting, including all school faculty, at least every other month on the school policy. Discuss any change in the policy, make sure it is being enforced the right way. Have a gathering in the P.A.C., on the first day of school, about how we (not just the students, but the faculty as well) can enforce this policy and what our role is. …show more content…
They should be looking through security footage. Asking more than “Well, can anyone one besides you (the victim) prove it actually happened?”. They should at least Call the supposed bully down to the office and talk to them. By turning students down due to this reasoning, they are not abiding by the Minnesota state bullying
