Identity and transformation is an essential factor for one to live in the society in order to go through the harsh circumstances in life. Life on a land with no experience requires many difficulties which most individuals experience as an immigrant. Being unable to communicate freely while expressing own thoughts, the harmful judgements and the ability to handle the norm of difference, is a necessity for one to experience in order to grow personal strength. Past can be viewed as a matter of fact that allows us to gain another level of understanding for a new perspective of the world. Viewing these aspects as a young child, it was unrelentable that I felt comfortable in these situations. Choosing to have another life in a new environment requires one to challenge the capacity to handle the harsh opinions of others and must maintain stability of self endurance. Through experience of the reality, I have gained the ability to understand others situation by putting myself in their shoes. As time passed I was able to realize the norm of obstacles that my father had to face, the language barrier. For an immigrant, one of the most difficult aspects to overcome is the language barrier. From my experience of learning various languages throughout the course, I figured out the anger he used to express was due to the limits he faced when learning a foreign language. Being incapable of communicating freely with others, being unable to express own opinion and having to always work ten times harder than others makes one to feel the limits.
