Therefore, although there are numerous effective conventional PTSD treatments, it is indeed astonishing and relieving to be able to apply new researches in erasing traumatic memory to treat PTSD, as it may be a more effective way to treat PTSD. This is because unlike conventional PTSD treatments, it is dealing with traumatic memory itself, which is a fundamental problem of PTSD, and allows one to treat PTSD more easily. In addition, it can be, as several researches demonstrated that there was no harm and that the amnesia actually occurred due to inhibition of protein synthesis. Nevertheless, there are still limitations and researches demonstrating how it cannot be viable. For example, there are some side effects of protein synthesis inhibitors and researches also demonstrated that the amnesia is due to non-specific effects other than protein synthesis inhibition. Additionally, since only pre-clinical researches have been done and no clinical researches, currently, it is difficult to directly apply these researches in real life to treat PTSD. Thus, in order for the researches on erasing traumatic memory to be fully applied to treat PTSD, more researchers have to be done to completely counterclaim the limitations. In the end, when this is achieved, this may be a more effective way to treat
